When Does Morning Sickness Occur?
When does morning sickness start? It usually starts in the first trimester of pregnancy. And the first signs usually develop in the first month of pregnancy, which means you may get it for the first time in the early of 4th or 6th day from the time you get pregnant or missed period. The duration of the morning sickness varies from one pregnant woman to another. It comes with bad effects like vomiting or nausea that can bother you a lot, which will be worse day by day from 6 to 10 weeks, and will eventually reach at the peak level in the 12 the week when the hormones of pregnancy begin to stabilize and start to decrease. It usually starts to disappear almost completely in the 2nd trimester. Nevertheless for some women with pregnancy, they still feel the rest effects of morning sickness in the second trimester. Even in rare cases this may exist for the entire duration of pregnancy. Well it is generally believed that the root cause is related to hormonal changes occurring in the mother’s body, other factors that have been linked to the conditions are genetics, blood sugar level and life style.
Factors responsible for morning sickness
With genetics factor it has been found that if the women’s mother and /or grandmothers suffered only light symptoms of morning sickness then she will most likely suffer only light symptoms. The blood sugar level comes into play mostly because the mother will eat less. This generally caused by the hormonal changes her body is going through, and also because of the feeling of nausea suppressing the appetite. Much of this can be alleviated by several steps. Eat les amounts but more often, six to eight times a day rather than the normal three meals. Before you go to bed for the night stock up your end table with crackers, cold cereal, and the like. This will help with the empty stomach in the morning and can help alleviate the feeling of nausea an empty stomach can cause. Remember, when your stomach is empty, the acids that help digests the food have nothing to work on and this can lead to nausea.
There is still a poor understanding or knowledge of the subject of when does morning sickness start and it its causes. But let’s follow the common theory that it can occur at any time morning, noon or even night.
